Eastern Redbud are native to the eastern and south central United States. They are often planted as ornamental trees because of their beautiful spring and fall colors. Reddish pink flowers appear in early spring followed by beautiful heart shaped leaves. Eastern Redbud are also used for summer screening and shade. Many birds enjoy eating the seeds. White-tailed deer, livestock, and other animals browse the foliage.
